It’s International Women’s Month, which means it’s a time to imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
We can see from the headlines that we still have a long way to go towards a world where women’s achievement is acknowledged, encouraged, and celebrated. But we’re not stopping, and neither is the next generation of women in STEM.
This International Women’s Month, we’re calling on all STEM professionals to support the next generation by becoming a Techbridge Girls sustainer. Your gift will bring more girls into Techbridge Girls programs, where they’ll learn STEM concepts and tools, build lasting peer and mentor networks, and explore ideas in a fun, supportive, deliberately inclusive space. Pledge $25/month or more and get a tote bag and show your support for Techbridge Girls all over town! Donate today and show our girls that we believe in them.
With appreciation for your hard work and excellence,
Savita Raj

With warm wishes for equity, justice, and – of course – pie,

Bridge Building: Upcoming Programs
Our first AI Identity to Impact Learning Institute was a huge success!
“This is stretching how I think about my role — not just teaching content, but teaching discernment.” – participant feedback
As Data Science and AI emerge and change how we work and learn, how can educators prepare themselves to navigate the pitfalls and promise of AI and Data Science in their own educational practices? Techbridge Girls’ AI Identity to Impact Learning Institute equips educators with foundational AI knowledge, strengthens their ability to facilitate inclusive STEM environments, and supports culturally responsive, community-centered instruction.
Our pilot Institute, a multi-session professional learning experience held this February, was a huge success. We were thrilled to welcome speakers Bunmi Esho, STEM Next Opportunity Fund; Dr. Alexis Daniels, Johns Hopkins University; and Sophia Blitz, engineer at Blitz Studios. Our pilot was a deep affirmation of how teachers and leaders need communities of practice and training to foster early implementation of AI literacies.

Living History
At the intersection of the 100th year celebration of Black History Month and International Women’s Month, we’re excited to share the living history of Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett on this YouTube video she made for us. During the COVID lockdown, as she was creating the Moderna vaccine, Dr. Corbett delivered a message to girls everywhere.
