Girl Dads Unite!

Girl Dad

Girls whose dads talk to them about STEM are 17% more likely to explore STEM subjects.

Did you know?

68% of teen girls say their Dad plays a key role in encouraging them.  And uncles, cousins, and the male engineer, mechanic, and pharmacist that live in the neighborhood are major allies in the effort for diversity in STEM.

Techbridge Girls designs joyful, rigorous, and culturally relevant STEM programs. We don’t just teach STEM – we reimagine who belongs in it. And male encouragement from fatherly figures is essential.

Spring is full of ways to support her

You know she did great on her Science Fair project, she’s choosing a STEM elective for the first time in middle school, she’s challenging herself in high school in difficult math and science classes, she’s graduating and off to a college, or she’s graduating with a STEM degree or certification. Show her how proud you are of her persistence, her ability to know what she wants, and being true to herself.

Daddy To Do list!

  1. Make a gift in honor of your special girl.  You can share her name (First Name, Last Letter) and we’ll shout it out on social media.
  2. Tell us your story. Send us a note, picture, or anecdote about why, as a Dad, you’re encouraging girls in STEM at info@techbridgegirls.org or tag us in a social media post.
  3. Share this page with your friends, other Dad’s, uncles, and those close to your family who make her believe she can do anything.
