Techbridge Girls' CEO Nikole Collins-Puri was invited to speak on a panel at "Water Unites Us: A Celebration of Women & Girls of Color Who Lead In Science & Technology", the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and The Smithsonian Institution hosted this virtual celebration to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and Black History Month.
The Cleveland Avenue Foundation for Education (CAFE Group)—will award five $1 million grants to Black leaders in education during the 1954 Project Luminary Awards on Apr. 28.
On April 28th, from 12-1 pm CDT, Techbridge Girls' CEO Nikole Collins-Puri, will be featured during the 2nd Annual 1954 Project Luminary Awards celebration! The 1954 Project is a philanthropic initiative of The Cleveland Avenue Foundation for Education Group (The CAFE Group) that champions Black leadership to fulfill the promise of quality education for ALL. The 1954 Project exists at the intersection of education, leadership, and giving.
Techbridge Girls has long encouraged STEM programs for Black Indigenous (BIPOC), and all girls of color from marginalized communities, and 2020 was a crucial year for the organization. From a direct service model in three cities to a national leader in developing STEM equity education across 20 states, Techbridge Girls aims to use strategic partnerships and digitization to scale up and expand its reach and impact.
The Golden State Warriors have announced that the Warriors Community Foundation will donate $1.85 million in grants this season, Techbridge Girls has been selected as one of the beneficiaries of this grant. Click the link to read the official press release.
For every goal scored by the San Jose Sharks during the 2021-22 season, Goals for Kids will make a donation to Techbridge Girls, click the link to read the Sharks Foundation's press release.
In partnership with the Foundation, Techbridge Girls (TBG) will train local, after-school educators to deliver their girl-focused, and culturally affirming program for middle schoolers, ChangeMakers.
The winning organizations feature programs that are addressing local issues through innovative solutions in the areas of community engagement, culture of inclusion, next generation storytelling and youth education and empowerment.
KTVU is recognizing the work of Oakland-based Techbridge Girls, which helps create opportunities in science, technology and other related fields for girls and non-binary young people, especially those who are Black or from another community of color.
