October in Action: STEM, Cyber Safety & Building the Future

Building Confidence in a Digital World:

From hands-on STEM exploration to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, Techbridge Girls is helping young people build the skills, curiosity, and confidence to navigate an ever-changing world. This month, we’re celebrating STEM learning in action, sharing resources for educators and families, and inviting communities to connect with us.

STEM Clubs are in Full Swing

This fall, more than 125 sites across the country are bringing Techbridge Girls’ hands-on STEM experiences to life! Through our STEM Club kits, young people are tackling engineering challenges, exploring artificial intelligence, collaborating with peers, and discovering what’s possible when they put their curiosity to work.

Each kit provides educators and youth-serving organizations with engaging activities, curriculum, and facilitator resources that make STEM learning accessible and exciting.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING: PROGRAMMING THROUGH AN EQUITY LENS

Creating inclusive STEM environments takes more than good intentions. It requires us to examine how identity, bias, and representation shape young people’s experiences. This free, two-hour, self-paced training helps educators and youth-serving professionals reflect on their practices and discover practical strategies for creating more equitable and welcoming STEM experiences. Learn on your own schedule and walk away with strategies you can put into practice right away.

HELP SHAPE WHO SHAPES AI!

We’re approaching the end of year season of giving, please consider making a gift to Techbridge Girls. Right now, AI is reshaping how we work, learn, and live. But the rooms where AI is getting built often don’t reflect our communities. Black, Latina, and Indigenous girls and gender-expansive youth have brilliant ideas about how to use and shape AI. So let’s make sure they’re part of building our AI-powered future.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: Cyber Education Alliance
October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We were proud to be featured in the Cyber Education Alliance’s My Kid Has Been Hacked: Cyber Emergency Kit, alongside organizations helping families navigate online safety.

TBG contributed guidance on documenting cyber incidents, one of five practical steps families can take when something goes wrong online. From gaming account takeovers to suspicious messages and scams, this free resource helps parents and caregivers respond with confidence.

Help us celebrate your impact. If you have photos of youth participating in Techbridge Girls programs or using our STEM kits, we’d love to see them. Email your photos to Tamika@techbridgegirls.org.
