From the Bridge
What do you think of when you hear the term “Hispanic heritage”? Maybe it’s food, or music, or dancing. Maybe it’s labor organizing, or television. Or maybe it’s astrophysics or pediatric medicine. Since the conquistadors first landed on the shores of the Americas, Hispanic heritage and U.S. history have been interwoven. That’s a lot of history. And according to the 2020 census, one in four U.S. children is Hispanic/Latinx – that’s a lot of heritage!
This month, we’re showcasing stories and resources with a focus on Hispanic heritage. Have a story to share with us? Share it here!

Bridge Building: How can I bring Techbridge Girls to a school or community center?
Registration for our fall STEM Equity Learning Community and for on-site program facilitation is currently closed, but we’re already looking forward to spring. If you are a program manager, administrator, or site director for out-of-school-time STEM learning, we welcome you to join us in exploring how our own experiences can help us to create equitable learning spaces for Black, Indigenous, and Latina girls and gender-expansive youth.
