We are appreciating our teachers all month long! Whether they’re in a classroom or a community center, our teachers are building equitable systems in STEM education, one lesson and one student at a time.
We want to hear from you about the teachers who inspired you. What did they show you about yourself? What did they teach you that you still use today? Send us stories of your favorite teachers at info@techbridgegirls.org with the subject line “Teacher Appreciation Stories” and we’ll share your responses on social.
If you’re a teacher, we’re also interested in the resources (and mantras, coffee mugs, self-care routines – whatever it takes!) you’re finding most helpful as you explore STEM concepts with students. Send us your best hacks at info@techbridgegirls.org with the subject line “Teacher Survival and Wellness Hacks” and we’ll share with our community.
And please, if there’s a teacher you know and care about who can benefit from being a part of the Techbridge Girls community, forward this newsletter!
Wherever you are, we hope you’re learning – and teaching – something good today.
All our best as you finish up another year!

Bridge Building: Upcoming Programs
If you are a program manager, administrator, or site director for out-of-school-time STEM learning, we welcome you to join us in the Fall to explore how to create equitable learning spaces for Black, Indigenous, and Latina girls and gender-expansive youth. Reach out now to info@techbridgegirls.org or join one of our free and open Community Meetings the first Friday of every month. Our programs team can’t wait to meet you and help you develop your TBG site.
Registration for our spring STEM Equity Learning Community is now closed. Registration information for our fall cohort (Anniversary Edition) will be released this summer for our September 2025 start.
Pathways: Role Models and More
The work teachers do to invite BIPOC girls and all students into STEM really is life-changing – and world-changing. Thank you, educators!
To support our educators as they head into summer, Techbridge Girls offers free professional development courses and micro-credentials around STEM for all. We invite you to get ready for next school year by taking our badging courses.
These micro-credentials are a great way to demonstrate skills and knowledge in a specific area. Often displayed through a digital badge, these credentials show that educators like you have engaged in research-backed educational training around equity in STEM and illustrate their commitment to STEM for all.
We currently offer three badges that individuals and groups can earn through our short online courses. We welcome all of our dedicated educators, systems leaders, non-profit managers, institutions, and others to participate. Earn all three and display your comprehensive training through the credentialing process!
For more information about these courses and micro-credentials and to sign up, send us your interest through our inquiry form.

May 5th – Open to All: Techbridge Girls Programs Team Community Meeting
Kelsey Norton, Manager of Youth Programs at YWCA National Capital Area, will join TBG to share her journey into STEM and her experience identifying and overcoming challenges in STEM equity work. Kelsey was part of the inaugural cohort of our STEM Equity Learning Community and is a partner in TBG’s work with the Smithsonian.
The TBG team will also facilitate an open session for participants to discuss challenges they are facing and to share resources (and requests!) as we wrap up the academic year.
Free registration is here or connect with us at info@techbridgegirls.org to learn more about our 25th Anniversary edition Community Meetings starting back this Fall!
