Tonesha Russell is a dynamic communicator, project manager, writer and educator with a Master’s degree in English from Georgetown University. She has taught English composition for over 5 years and is passionate about bringing the voices of those on the margins to the center. Her work inside the classroom is focused on highlighting the work of people of color to bring those experiences to bear in the outcomes she seeks to achieve. Her work in communications and program coordination for various non-profits centered around telling the stories of those closest to the pain. She is passionate about youth and helping to create access to opportunities otherwise denied marginal voices.

She is a wife to her husband, Samuel. Mother to 2 boys, Aaren and August and her daughter, Amaris. She is a black girl knitter.
