Gwen Hearn is passionate about empowering professionals from all fields to get out and share their knowledge and experience with girls in their community. She believes in building a strong and diverse volunteer force that recognizes the power of sharing personal and hands-on experiences as an essential tool for allowing girls to see themselves in STEM careers.
Before joining Techbridge Girls, Gwen worked to coordinate volunteers in engaging girls in the exciting world of engineering. She’s also worked with volunteers (and has been a volunteer herself), teachers, and student visitors in museums and National Parks across the country. She discovered her passion for learning and excitement for sharing experiences in informal environments while driving tour buses in Alaska.
Gwen holds a B.A. in American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a M.A. in Museum Studies from The George Washington University. Outside of work, Gwen enjoys hiking, camping, and SCUBA diving with her wife, daughter, and dog.
