Angelica Barakat is committed to advancing economic, social and racial equity in STEM for girls* from low-income communities. As the Donor Relations Associate, Angelica is thrilled to contribute to the mission of Techbridge Girls that excites, educates and equips girls* to create, lead and implement their brilliance and diverse ideas into our new reality, increasingly more virtual and informed by digital data. Angelica plays a key role in fostering partnerships with Techbridge Girls’ community of supporters by leading prompt gift processing, managing extensive data-driven systems and analyzing fundraising data to ensure well-informed, data-driven decisions in the organization.
Angelica graduated cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Society & Environment and minor in English. Some of her most insightful classes focused on the ethics of biotechnology, impact of surveillance technology and tension of techno-optimism in the transition toward a clean energy system. In her free time, Angelica enjoys running, hiking and listening to podcasts.
