This summer we tried a new approach to career exploration—Techbridge students worked as interns, developed this career resource for other students.

This project was supported with funds from the Zonta Club of Berkeley/North Bay. Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to improve the status of women.
Career Exploration:
By Girls, For Girls
Helping transform an interest in technology, science, and engineering into a career goal is one of the goals of Techbridge. During our programs, we tie career information into the curriculum whenever possible, but we always strive to do more.
Role models animate students and open them up to the possibility of different careers they may not have considered or even knew existed. They are one of the most effective ways we can open up discussion about careers. Techbridge has built a network of wonderful women who are willing and excited to share their love of technology, science, and engineering with young girls. While we will continue to coordinate these successful visits between role models and students, it is just not possible to bring every role model to every student.
Here at the Techbridge Careers website, we bring role models to you, via the world wide web. Please explore the biographies of our role models in our Biographies of Women in Science section. Enjoy!
