Summer programs offer the opportunity for Techbridge girls to continue exploring their interest in science, technology and engineering through fun hands-on projects and career exploration. The summer opportunities are made possible by generous support from Chevron. Summer programs are only open to girls participating in Techbridge after-school programs and Techbridge alumnae.
Past summer programs included:
- Chew on This: The Science Behind Food
Girls explored the many food related careers by testing and creating things like root beers and gummies. They also learned about farming, food processing, and what it takes to package food items. These activities leave you asking for more!
- Mythbusters
Our girls tested different science myths to see if they were true or not. They learned about chemistry through explosions and discovered different types of renewable energy.
- America's Next Top Robot
Girls explored the science behind robotics and created runway worthy robots from start to finish. They learned about computer programming, experimented with mechanical engineering, and put their robot to the test as they competed to make America's Next Top Robot!
- Project ROV
Girls learned the technology of underwater exploration. They built their own underwater robot or remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
