The program at Lincoln Elementary School is full of eager and enthusiastic fifth graders.  Learning about simple machines can be really fun when you are making your own playground. The Lincoln girls put their creativity to the test as they designed playground equipment for a park in Oakland. They also studied food science, starting with ice cream. As they made their cold treats, they learned how experiments with control and variables can affect their results.
