Arroyo High School started off the school year with an animated twist. Girls worked in groups of four to create short animated films. This year the girls are taking their animation skills to the next level by adding audio and digital graphics. The group enjoys the challenge of learning new technology and creating entertaining movies. “This was so cool! I loved adding audio to my animation. It really made it come to life,†said a junior at Arroyo High.
In mid November the girls will start a long and challenging project, building a robotic lady bug. The girls will be getting help from role models from the College of Engineering at UC Berkeley. The Cal students will help explain the mechanics behind their robots and also share the excitement of studying mechanical engineering.
