Techbridge at Arroyo High School got off to a strong start with the girls building and designing Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). The girls worked in groups of 4-5 to research ROVs and put on their electrical engineer hats to build the control box. The next two weeks were spent building the actual ROV out of PVC pipes and waterproofing the wires. Finally the girls finished up their ROVs and took them to the pool at Arroyo to test, redesign and test again.
With the new year the girls from Arroyo will become Computer Scientists as they dig deep into programming!
