Design Time

This unit combines girls' love of play and creativity with the engineering design process. Girls start by customizing pencil bags and creating unique bubble wands and bubble solution. They also work together in teams to brainstorm and sketch toy ideas, and build prototypes of their toys. Girls have a chance to name their toys and make marketing plans for them. Using job descriptions from Techbridge career cards and a scientific method of inquiry, girls start to develop real life skills and greater confidence in their science, engineering and technology abilities.
