Edendale Middle School

The Techbridge program has returned to Edendale Middle School this year, and it has quickly proven to be a great addition to the school. Since the first week, Ms. Heckman's classroom has been filled with eager girls ready to tackle any design challenge or project. From designing an egg bungee, to engineering a device in which to transport golf balls from one location to another without the use of their hands, to putting together their very own working telephone, these girls have already demonstrated they are ready for anything!

Everyone at Edendale, including teachers and administrators, are excited about what is yet to come in our Techbridge year. Of special interest is the long anticipated soldering of a simple circuit to light up pumpkins for Halloween and the soldering of an LED robot.

After mastering the art of soldering, the girls of Edendale will explore digital photography through the creation of their very own Techbridge Career Calendars. Through this project, the girls will have the opportunity to engage in activities that will expand their knowledge of digital prints, resolutions, digital editing, and careers in science, engineering and technology. What better way to start the 2009 year than with calendars created by our very own Techbridge girls!
