The girls at Thornton Junior High School have been learning all about electricity and power. So far, they have learned how to solder and build circuits to light LEDs. They also learned about solar power, and built cars that run on the sun's energy. The girls had fun competing to see which team built the most bizarre or attractive car.

The girls are developing their electrical, mechanical, chemical, and computer engineering skills as they build Rube Goldberg machines.
